play spotify on roku

It's inconvenient to play Spotify songs on Roku since Spotify removed its app from Roku TV systems last December for the purpose of providing better experience to the users in the future. However, as months have gone, we didn't see any new version come out. Worst of all, no official statement ever made to when we are likely to have access back to Spotify on Roku. Before Spotify going to available on Roku again, you can follow the alternative way here in the article to stream Spotify on your Roku player.

Play Spotify on Roku - Tools You'll Need

Since Roku supports streaming local files, we can download the Spotify songs offline on our computer and then stream the saved tracks to Roku player so that we can play the music on TV via Roku. Sounds easy? Not really though. If you are premium users of Spotify, that's a piece of cake. However, it's a different story for free accounts as they are not allowed to listen to Spotify music offline. Therefore, if you are free subscribers, you'll need an extra tool to help you download the Spotify playlists offline before syncing them to Roku.

TunesKit Spotify Music Downloader

The smart Spotify tool we are highly recommended here is called TunesKit Music Converter for Spotify. It's specialized in helping you download any Spotify songs, playlists and albums offline as MP3, AAC, FLAC and other common audio formats. It's able to keep the original music quality and allows you set the output quality all depending on your own requirements.
