Part 3. Extra Tip: How to Import Music to Gear IconX Earbuds

With the Galaxy Buds, you can only stream music from the connected device like a phone, tablet, or watch. However, the Gear IconX earbuds have enough internal memory to store up to approximately 1,000 music files (about 4GB). You can transfer music files to the earbuds via the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone or the Gear IconX Manager program on your computer.

If the battery power is low, data transfer may be interrupted. Fully charge the earbuds before transferring music files. Otherwise, to transfer music files, you must first install the Galaxy Wearable app onto your phone or tablet, or the Gear IconX Manager software onto your computer. Now, check the music transfer method.

Option 1. Using your phone or tablet

Open the Galaxy Wearable app, and then tap TRANSFER MUSIC in the MUSIC ON GEAR WINDOW. Next, choose your desired transfer method:

USB transfer: Tap USB connector, and then place your earbuds in the charging case and close the lid. Connect the charging case to the USB cable, and then connect the other end of the cable to your phone or tablet using the USB connector. Tap ADD and select the desired tracks. Then tap DONE.

Bluetooth transfer: Tap Wireless transfer, and then place your earbuds in the charging case and leave the lid open. Tap SELECT TRACKS. Next, choose the desired tracks, and then tap DONE.

Option 2. Using your computer

First, make sure the Gear IconX Manager program is installed on your computer. Place the Gear IconX in the charging case and close the lid. Then, use the USB cable to connect the charging case to your computer. Next, open Gear IconX Manager, and then click Add new tracks. Select the music file(s) to transfer, and then click Open.

Note: Do not change the destination folder name or create a new folder. Music files stored may not play if any changes are made to the file directory for the earbuds.
