find spotify username

Hi everyone, since last night I've been trying to find my Spotify username to log into my account for well over half an hour of not finding any helpful information on the support website or any other website.

Spotify is an awesome music streaming platform, but sometimes it takes too much control over user profiles. If a user comes across Error Code 3 issue and needs a username to log in, it's always hard to find it.

But in the following parts, I'm going to show you how to find your Spotify username and make your Spotify listening experience a lot better.

Part 1. How to Find Username on Spotify?
Part 2. Can You Change Spotify Username?
Part 3. Download Spotify Songs with Free Spotify Username Account

How to Find Username on Spotify?

In this part, you're going to learn how to find your own Spotify username both on desktop and mobile.

On your desktop:

1. Open Spotify on your Mac or PC.

2. In the upper-right corner next to your display name, click on the downward arrow.

3. Click Account on the dropdown menu, then you'll be direct to your Account overview on the browser.

3. Under your Profile, you can view your Username with a string of letters and numbers. You can use this name to log into your Spotify account and reset your password.

If you can't remember your Spotify username, don't worry. You can find it from the information stored in your device.

On Mac:

1. Open Finder on your Mac.

2. Click Go > Library in the menu bar. (You may need to hold the Alt key if Library isn't visible.)

3. Open Application Support > Spotify > Users.

4. All usernames you've logged into on this device will show under this folder.

On Windows:

1. In the lower-left corner of your PC home screen, click the Start icon > File Explorer > This PC.

2. Open C: > Users > Your computer's Username > App Data.

Note: If you can't find App Data, open the Start menu and type in Run in the search box. 3. Select Run and type in %appdata% and press enter.

4. Open Local > Spotify > Users. All usernames you've logged into on this device will show under this folder.

On Android:

Connect your phone to a computer with a USB cable.

In your computer files, find and open Android > data > com.spotify.music > files > spotifycache > users.

All usernames you've logged into on this device will show under this folder.

Note: It's not possible to browse folders with your Android phone without connecting to a computer, but there are apps available that enable you to do so.

Can You Change Spotify Username?

Unfortunately technically you can't change your Spotify username, because it's designed to identify your Spotify account. So it can't be changed. But it doesn't really matter a lot even if you forget your Spotify username, you can use your email or Facebook to log into your Spotify account.

But if you're referring to the name every time you see on your Spotify home page, that's your profile name. And you can feel free to change it:

On your mobile phone or tablet:

1. Tap Home, then Settings.

2. Tap View profile.

3. Tap EDIT PROFILE.
