Step 1

Open TunesKit Audio Capture

Upon launching TunesKit Audio Capture for Windows, you'll see a list of some programs such as chrome, IE, WMP, etc display in the opening window. Click any of those icons to launch the program. If the target program is not there, simply click the "+" button to add any program, including media players, browsers, etc. that you want to capture the audio from.

Step 2

Set Capture Parameters

Click the format icon button at the bottom right corner and set the output preferences in the popup window. It supports common output formats including MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, M4B and FLAC now. You can set the audio quality, such as codec, sample rate, bit rate, etc. to personalize the output audio according to your specific needs. To set output folder and others, you should click the top menu --> Prerferences to get it done.

Step 3

Start to Capture the Audio Tracks

Go back to the media program or browser you just picked, locate the music or audio you want to capture and begin to play the tracks. Then you'll see a new recording task being created in the capture list of TunesKit window. It will begin to capture the audio in real time while you are playing the sound. To quit recording, simply stop playing the music and close the media program.

Note: This smart audio capture supports recording several tracks at the same time, meaning you can operate other programs to play different music and it will record all sounds while saving the tracks independently.

Step 4

Split or Merge Recorded Audio Tracks

Once captured, click the edit icon icon of each track to trim the audio tracks by time length. You can set the segment either by clicking the time slider or enter the values manually. In the specific window, you can also manage the ID3 tags of the audio, including adding the cover picture, artist, music title, year, etc. Besides, if you are capturing multiple tracks simultaneously, you can also choose to merge different tracks into one through the merge function.

After that, click "Save" button to export the records to the output folder you set before. Then locate the captured audio files by clicking the history icon history icon at the bottom of the window.
