transfer apple music to another id

I've been using a family apple ID for apps and music and up until now I've been the only to use apple music on it but recently my family started using it so we switched to a family plan. Is there any way to migrate my library (has both offline and apple music) from the family id to my personal id?

If you switch to a new Apple ID, all your information including Apple Music songs from your former ID will not be accessible in the new one. Since you're going to use the new ID, the Apple Music account will also be renewed, the subscription as well. But is there a way to transfer music to a new Apple ID from the old one without losing any of your playlists and songs?

Yes, in the following parts, you're going to learn how to add Apple Music to another Apple ID in just a few steps.

Part 1. Transfer Apple Music to Another Account
Part 2. Download Apple Music Offline for Listening without Subscription

Transfer Apple Music to Another Account

1. Transfer Music Manually

This sounds dumb but in this way you can transfer every single song from your former Apple ID to the new one. Here's how to do it:

1. Log in to your old Apple Music account on your desktop and log in the new account on your phone or other devices.

2. View your Library on the old account and search for every song in the new account and add them to the Library.

Note: If you have a large library, this process could be a nightmare.

2. Migrate Purchased iTunes Songs

If you already have bought songs from iTunes, you can directly add them to your new account:

1. Download purchased songs from iTunes to your computer.

2. Log out of the old account and log in to the new one.

3. Go to Library and directly drag these songs from your computer to your iTunes Library.

4. To access these songs on your other devices, make sure that you have turned on the iCloud Music Library.

To activate iCloud Music Library on iTunes:

1. Open iTunes > Edit > Preferences.

2. Under General menu, tick the iCloud Music Library option to activate it.

3. Share Apple Music Playlists to New Account

By sharing playlists from your old account, you can directly add these playlists to the library of your new Apple Music account. And if you want to share songs in the Loved songs, you can create a new playlist and add these songs to the playlist. After your new account has saved it to the library, you can love these songs again and put them on the Loved playlist.

To share Apple Music playlist:

1. Open Apple Music on your phone.

2. Tap playlist under the Library tab.

3. Scroll down to find a playlist you want to share and tap on it.

4. Tap the three-dots on the top of the playlist to open the menu, then tap Share Playlist.

5. You can share your playlists to an app. Then log out of your old Apple Music account and log in to your new one. Tap the share information stored in the app you've previously shared, then open these playlists with your new account and save them to your library.
