SoundTouch is one of the best wireless sound speakers designed by Bose. SoundTouch supports a bunch of mainstream music apps (Spotify, Pandora, Deezer, Amazon Music, iHeart radio and so on) except Apple Music. Although SoundTouch supports iTunes, it still can't directly stream Apple Music.

"The fact it's been this long for Bose to add support for Apple Music is frankly astonishing, and I know several people have dropped Bose for Sonos because of it. It's about time Bose gets their software-act together." -by neworion1 from reddit.com

Bose shouldn't be blamed for not supporting Apple Music. As we all know, Apple Company is somehow notorious for maintaining a closed loop ecosystem. Sonos is now the only speaker supports Apple Music exclusively. There's no need to ditch SoundTouch for Sonos since here we have 3 solutions for you to stream Apple Music to SoundTouch.

Solution 1. Stream Apple Music to SoundTouch Via Bluetooth
Solution 2. Stream Apple Music to SoundTouch Via AirPlay
Solution 3. Stream Apple Music to SoundTouch without Wifi

Solution 1. Stream Apple Music to SoundTouch Via Bluetooth

In this section, we will introduce how to pair SoundTouch with your phone so that you can stream Apple Music via Bluetooth.

1. Make sure you download the SoundTouch app on your phone. Launch the app and select Menu in the top left corner.

2. Go "Settings" > "Speaker Settings" and choose your SoundTouch system to view the system details screen. Choose "Bluetooth" and tap "Pair".

3. After your phone paired to SoundTouch, you can stream Apple Music on your phone to SoundTouch.

Solution 2. Stream Apple Music to SoundTouch Via AirPlay

If you are an iDevice user, you can also use AirPlay to stream Apple Music to the sound speakers which support AirPlay. Luckily, SoundTouch is one of them. AirPlay can bring you a better sound quality than Bluetooth.

1. Open AirPlay on your iDevice: Go to "Settings" > AirPlay. There, you can see all the devices connected to the same home WiFi.

2. Select SoundTouch to AirPlay the Apple Music songs. Now you can use AirPlay to control the SoundTouch.

Solution 3. Stream Apple Music to SoundTouch without Wifi

This solution requires a little help from TunesKit DRM Audio Converter. TunesKit is designed to remove DRM from Apple Music songs, iTunes audiobooks and Audible audiobooks. Once DRM is removed, TunesKit will help you convert the audios to any popular format you want.

Step 1Add Apple Music to TunesKit DRM Audio Converter

First, download and install TunesKit DRM Audio Converter from the above link. There are two "Add" button, one for DRM-protected audios, one for DRM-free audios. To convert Apple music, you should use the "Music Note" icon on the top of the window. In addition, please make sure that the Apple music you wish to convert can stream well in iTunes before you import them to TunesKit.

Step 2Customize Audio Output Format

set output profile

Open the "Format" panel at the bottom left to select an output format. You can see the "Edit" icon at the end of each column of the audio track. Click it and you can adjust parameters for your files in the pop-up window. When you are all set, please click on "OK" to save the settings.

Step 3Convert Apple Music Songs to Common Format

Now you need to transfer your converted files to iTunes because SoundTouch app supports iTunes. Open the SoundTouch app on your phone and click the "EXPLORE" panel and then "Add Music". Select "Music Library on Computer", then you can choose "iTunes" and name the library. After the library imported to the app, you can see the music library available in the source list for the explore panel. Now, you are able to enjoy Apple Music through SoundTouch losslessly.

Conclusion

Bluetooth is quite an easy and convenient solution to fix the problem. However, the music quality stream by Bluetooth is not as good as AirPlay. AirPlay is only available on iDevices and limited sound speakers. With TunesKit, you can also play audiobooks from Audible or iTunes to SoundTouch. More importantly, you can stream them to SoundTouch without WiFi if you place the converted files on USB. Try it and it won't let you down!
