Traktor is one of the most popular DJ software. Launched by Native Instrument, it starts from the year of 2000. Compare to Virtual DJ and Serato DJ, Traktor is more professional. Its product line ranges from free version to flagship product. The Traktor Kontrol S4 is designed for pros and the free version Traktor DJ 2 is made for everybody to mix. Traktor DJ has a good compatibility with Mac OS, Windows, and even iOS. However, there is no way to link Apple Music directly to Traktor because of the DRM. If you've ever tried to import Apple Music songs to Traktor DJ just as NJC408 did, they will show up but will not play in Traktor when you have it set to view your iTunes library.

To get them played in Traktor, you need to purchase the music from iTunes but that's not necessary if you have TunesKit DRM Audio Converter. This converter can help you get rid of DRM and convert the M4P songs to any format you want. Next will be a passage on how to Mix Apple Music with Traktor.

How to Add Apple Music to Traktor

Step 1 Import Apple Music to TunesKit

add apple music files

First, download TunesKit DRM Audio Converter from the above link and please confirm that Apple Music works well and Apple Music songs you want to convert could play well on your computer. Otherwise, you should authorize to play those audios in advance. Launch the converter and Apple Music both and you will see three icons on the central top of the main screen.

1) This button is for importing DRM audios to TunesKit.

2) This one is to add non-DRM audios to TunesKit.

3) This is the "Converted History", when the conversion is done you can find your converted files under this catalog.

Most of the Apple Music songs are DRM-ed, so you can use the first button to import Apple Music songs to the converter or directly drag files from the Apple Music media folder to the TunesKit as well.

Step 2 Select Output Format and Output Path

select format

When you finish the step 1, open the "Format" panel to select an output format for your audio files. Traktor supported formats including MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, Audio CD, Ogg Vorbis and AIFF. So, with TunesKit, you get to choose MP3, WAV, FLAC or AAC as the output format. Right next to the "Format" is the Output Path option. Click on to select a file destination for you converted songs.

Step 3 Edit the Songs with the Built-in Audio Editor

Format and Output Path are the basic settings. As DJ Fans or Pros, I bet you want more than that. TunesKit has many extra features for you to grope.

1) Under the "Format" panel, you can adjust the codec, channel, sample rate, bit rate and quality of the audio files

2) This magic stick icon on the right of each column is to change the volume, speed, and pitch of the converted audios.

3) This edit icon on the right of each column enables you to tailor the tags and split the audios.

Step 4 Convert Apple Music to DRM-free Format

add apple music files

Once you are done with all the settings and editing, you can take up the conversion by pressing the "Convert" button. Wait for a few minutes until the conversion finishes, then you can locate the DRM-free audio files in the folder you selected. If you don't remember which folder you choose, you can go to the Converted History and use to find them.

The Bottom Line

Now that all the songs are DRM-free and converted, you can launch Traktor and scan the local folders, they are suppose to be playable in Traktor. Enjoy the mixing and don't forget TunesKit the great helper!
